Dynamo Juniors

Dynamo Juniors offers soccer players outside of the Houston region the chance to be part of the Houston Dynamo organization. The ever-expanding program already has established programs in El Paso, Texas; McAllen, Texas; Austin, Texas; Lafayette, Louisiana; Gulf Breeze, Florida; Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; and Tampa, Florida. The goal of Dynamo Juniors is to help grow soccer in those regions and give more players the opportunity to achieve their dream of playing professional soccer. Select players will be asked to join the Dynamo Academy full time and will train under the direct supervision of Houston Dynamo Director of Youth Development James Clarkson. Four Houston-area products have already made their way to the Dynamo first team via the Dynamo Academy, and now players from four more states will have similar opportunities.
“What we are aiming to do is expand our player pool in terms of identification of players, but also have an impact in the growth and development of the sport,” Clarkson said. “This will impact all levels, from grassroots, all the way through elite players.”
Mission Statement:
To provide a professional soccer learning environment where players can strive to fulfill their full potential. To produce players and young men and women capable of being successful in a non-professional soccer environment while providing elite players professional opportunities.
The Juniors curriculum will focus on the “4 Corners” of player Development; technical, social, psychological and physical using the latest coaching techniques and methodology. The players will be trained by a qualified professional staff under the direction of James Clarkson, the Dynamo Director of Youth Development. The curriculum is designed for all levels from recreational to elite level. Every player in the Juniors system around the country has the opportunity to progress to the highest levels. The professional staff is committed to having a positive impact on every player on and off the field providing support, guidance and direction.
The Dynamo Juniors curriculum is beneficial to both boys and girls with increased development starting at a young age. The program will increase the development of girls at a young age and provide them with exposure and opportunities to college coaches through competitive games and tournaments.
