Houston Dynamo midfielder Brad Davis and defender Kofi Sarkodie were named to the MLSSoccer.com Team of the Week on Tuesday for Week 25. The pair were a big part of Houston’s 3-1 road win against Eastern Conference rival Sporting Kansas City on Friday.
Davis provided two assists in the second half, each from a set piece, for the game-winning goal from David Horst and an insurance goal from Ricardo Clark five minutes later. It was Davis’ 21st career multi-assist game and increased his season assist total to eight.
Sarkodie was part of the buildup to Houston’s first goal, receiving a pass from Ricardo Clark on the right wing and delivering a cross that Will Bruin finished for a 1-0 lead.
The Dynamo return home to begin a critical two-game homestand beginning Saturday when they host the Montreal Impact at 7:30 p.m. at BBVA Compass Stadium (TICKETS).
