MLS Regular Season
Following his performance against the LA Galaxy on Sunday night, Houston Dynamo midfielder Andrew Driver has been nominated as one of the Top 3 performers for the week by MLSsoccer.com. The three winners are the players who tally the most votes before Monday at 7 p.m. CT.
Driver scored the game-winning goal in Sunday's 1-0 over the Galaxy, blasting a low, hard shot past Carlo Cudicini in the 56th minute.
The Houston Dynamo and LA Galaxy will play Sunday night in a rematch of the previous two MLS Cup finals. The Dynamo are 6-6-4 all-time vs. the Galaxy with a 2-3-2 regular season record vs. LA at The Home Depot Center. The Dynamo won the regular season series last year, defeating the Galaxy 2-1 at BBVA Compass Stadium on May 26, but the Galaxy got the last laugh, winning MLS Cup 3-1 in front of their home side on December 1.
