World Cup hangover? Hardly. Brad Davis has returned to MLS play without missing a beat, and perhaps even elevating his already high standard of play. Davis was named to the MLSsoccer.com Team of the Week for Week 18 for his two goal night against Toronto FC, and overall solid performance on Saturday night.
The Dynamo captain put Houston ahead 1-0 in the 13th minute after receiving a pass in the box from Giles Barnes.
Davis wasted little time scoring his second goal of the night in the 30th minute. Barnes once again found Davis alone in the box after a cross from the near side of the pitch. Davis used his left foot to find the back of the net.
Since returning to MLS action Davis has scored three goals, and has scored or assisted a goal in eight straight appearances. Davis will look to continue that momentum on Saturday when the Dynamo play host to Toronto FC at BBVA Compass Stadium (TICKETS).
Short handed by injuries, suspensions and World Cup call ups, the Dynamo head to Colorado determined to stop their recent slide.
After David Horst's latest effort, the Dynamo are making quite the habit of amazing goal line saves. What is your favorite?
