Stuart Holden trains with Houston Dynamo in preparation for USMNT camp

By Jonathan Kaplan

When the roster for the upcoming U.S. men's national team training camp was announced last week, there was no shortage of Dynamo connections on the list. For starters, midfielder Brad Davis and goalkeeper Tally Hall were named to the roster. Davis will join the team following this weekend's match against Sporting KC. Hall will leave the Dynamo following their June 1 match against the Columbus Crew.

But aside from Davis and Hall, there were two others names on the list that brought a smile to the faces of Dynamo faithful. First was Geoff Cameron, the former Dynamo jack-of-all-trades who now plies his trade with Stoke City of the English Premier League. And second was Stuart Holden, a fan favorite in orange from 2006-2009, who left Houston after the 2009 season to join English club Bolton Wanderers.

So with a week left before the USMNT convenes in Cleveland, it's no surprise that Holden is back where it all began, training hard with the Dynamo (pictured, above) in the hopes of being selected by USMNT head coach Jurgen Klinsmann for one of the team's upcoming matches.
