Fourth time's a charm?
That's what we're saying in the case of Tyler Deric, who, for the fourth week in a row, is up for MLSsoccer.com's Save of the Week. The editors had their hands full picking just one of Deric's saves from the 1-0 win in Toronto last week, but they finally settled on his diving, fingertip save of Luke Moore's header in the 63rd minute. Deric got full extension in no time at all to push the attempt off the post and preserve the shutout.

Another week, another shutout, and another MLS Save of the Week nomination for Tyler Deric. This time it's for his stop on Quincy Amarikwa's acrobatic volley attempt, which Deric dove to get his fingertips on and tip around the post.

Tyler Deric recorded his second-ever MLS shutout on Saturday against the Philadelphia Union, and he had to earn it. At the start of the second half, Andrew Wenger played a ball towards goal that Conor Casey stretched for but couldn't get a toe on. Deric switched from expecting a deflection to blocking the rolling ball. Casey was still around to recover the spilled ball, but Deric got down to get his hand on the follow-up shot and preserve the clean sheet.
Tally Hall recorded his first Save of the Week honor in Week 8 against New York. He's up for the award yet again, this time for his diving save to keep Toronto FC's Luke Moore from finding the back of the net. Hall used full extension and deflected the ball with his left hand to keep the match tied at 2-2. That save proved to be crucial as the matched ended in a 2-2 draw giving the Dynamo a point in the standings.

Defenders don't always make headed goal line clearances, but when they do, there's a good chance that they'll be nominated for Save of the Week. That's what David Horst did against the Galaxy to preserve a shutout en route to a 1-0 win, and sure enough he is up for MLSsoccer.com's weekly award.
