Brad Davis continued his sizzling form on Saturday in Toronto, scoring two goals inside the first 30 minutes for his eighth consecutive Dynamo appearance with a goal or an assist. Davis is now tied for the eighth-longest streak of consecutive games with a goal or assist in MLS history. The stretch began on March 29 with an assist on Ricardo Clark’s goal at Vancouver. The streak includes four goals and five assists during the eight games. Davis is one of 17 players in league history to record a streak of eight or more games, including former teammate Brian Ching. Davis is three games from matching the league record (11 games), set by Roy Lassiter and Ronald Cerritos.

World Cup hangover? Hardly. Brad Davis has returned to MLS play without missing a beat, and perhaps even elevating his already high standard of play. Davis was named to the MLSsoccer.com Team of the Week for Week 18 for his two goal night against Toronto FC, and overall solid performance on Saturday night.

The Dynamo captain put Houston ahead 1-0 in the 13th minute after receiving a pass in the box from Giles Barnes.

Davis wasted little time scoring his second goal of the night in the 30th minute. Barnes once again found Davis alone in the box after a cross from the near side of the pitch. Davis used his left foot to find the back of the net.

Since returning to MLS action Davis has scored three goals, and has scored or assisted a goal in eight straight appearances. Davis will look to continue that momentum on Saturday when the Dynamo play host to Toronto FC at BBVA Compass Stadium (TICKETS).
