World Cup hangover? Hardly. Brad Davis has returned to MLS play without missing a beat, and perhaps even elevating his already high standard of play. Davis was named to the MLSsoccer.com Team of the Week for Week 18 for his two goal night against Toronto FC, and overall solid performance on Saturday night.
The Dynamo captain put Houston ahead 1-0 in the 13th minute after receiving a pass in the box from Giles Barnes.
Davis wasted little time scoring his second goal of the night in the 30th minute. Barnes once again found Davis alone in the box after a cross from the near side of the pitch. Davis used his left foot to find the back of the net.
Since returning to MLS action Davis has scored three goals, and has scored or assisted a goal in eight straight appearances. Davis will look to continue that momentum on Saturday when the Dynamo play host to Toronto FC at BBVA Compass Stadium (TICKETS).
The stars will be out on Saturday night when the Dynamo welcome Jermain Defoe, Michael Bradley and the rest of Toronto FC to BBVA Compass Stadium on Saturday night. Would you like to watch it for free? Sure you would. Our game is up for the MLS Stream of the Week against three other games, so if you can't make it out the stadium, you can catch it for free on MLSsoccer.com.

Brad returned, Armed Forces Members were appreciated and fireworks were fired in Houston's 2-2 draw with New York.

Not everything's about soccer, sometimes we just want to share cool stuff. Here's lightning striking outside of BBVA Compass Stadium before the game on July 4. That's it, just a few seconds of lightning strikes. PSA: seek cover when there's signs of lightning. This is a mounted camera, you should not stand at the top of an uncovered stadium to get footage of electricity falling from the sky.
