The 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup groups and schedule were announced on Wednesday, with Houston's BBVA Compass Stadium set to host Group B matches. This will be the fifth consecutive Gold Cup with matches being played in Houston.
Group B consists of Honduras, El Salvador, Trinidad & Tobago and Haiti. Honduras is currently in the final round of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup.

National Teams of Guyana, Mexico Face Off in FIFA World Cup Qualifier at BBVA Compass Stadium October 12
The national teams of Guyana and Mexico will face off in a World Cup qualifying match at BBVA Compass Stadium on Friday, October 12. The match, which is the third international soccer event to take place this year at the downtown stadium, is scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. with Guyana as the home team.

Meet the Dynamo's CCL opponents
On Tuesday, CONCACAF announced the eight groups of three teams that will compete in the 2012-13 CONCACAF Champions League tournament (formerly the CONCACAF Champions Cup). The teams were initially split into three groups of eight teams. From those three groups, one team was chosen from each group until the eight groups were formed that will compete in the tournament. The only caveat was that no team could be drawn into a group with a club from its own country and a team from the United States and Mexico could not face off in the group stage.
Olympic Qualifying begins tonight

In the past month, the United States Soccer Federation and CONCACAF announced changes to the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and CONCACAF Champions League competition formats. The Houston Dynamo will take part in both tournaments this year, with USOC set to kick off May 15 and CCL set to begin late July.
