MLS Regular Season

Missed opportunities cost Dynamo a win

Houston still unable to string two victories in a row this season
Dynamo can't build streak

For the seventh time this season, the Houston Dynamo were unable to
string together two consecutive victories in MLS play as they tied the
Philadelphia Union 1-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Despite the draw, Houston continued
to build upon its improved play over the last several matches. In games past, Houston’s defense crumbled as
it conceded late winners, but against United last weekend and the Union on Saturday, it was the Dynamo
controlling the play in the second half.

Onstad to return?

Houston goalkeeper Pat Onstad appears to be making a late push this week to get healthy and is hopeful to be available for the team’s match Saturday against Philadelphia at PPL Park.

Onstad participated fully in practice on Friday for the first time this week. While the veteran is still recovering from the concussion he suffered after colliding with the elbow of defender Andrew Hainault last weekend, Onstad also admitted he has a painful thumb injury that has been hindering him.
