Houston not dominant, but content with win
The Houston Dynamo did what was necessary
and not much more as they defeated Miami FC 1-0 in the third round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Tuesday night.
“Mission accomplished. We are in the quarterfinals,” said head coach Dominic
Kinnear. “We were hoping for a more dominant performance, but they sat back and
made it hard, and the wet field made it difficult to play over the top, but I am
happy.”

The Houston Dynamo advanced to the quarterfinals of the
Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup with a 1-0 win over Miami FC Tuesday night at
Robertson Stadium. Lovel Palmer scored the game-winning goal in the
80th minute for Houston. The Dynamo will host Chivas USA next Tuesday in the quarterfinals.

battling to a semifinal loss against the eventual champions, the Houston

Dynamo to host Open Cup game at Robertson
The Houston Dynamo will host a third round match in the Lamar Hunt
U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday, June 29, at 7:30 p.m. at Robertson Stadium, it was
announced today. The Dynamo will face Miami FC,
which beat the Tampa Bay Rowdies 2-1 in extra time Tuesday in the second round at Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Houston to host Open Cup match June 29
For once, the Dynamo's Open Cup journey will include at least one stop at home.
On Wednesday night, U.S. Soccer announced pairings and potential hosts for the third round of the 2010 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, and the Dynamo will host either Miami FC or the Tampa Bay Rowdies, both of the USSF Division-2 Pro League, on June 29. Details of the match will be announced when finalized.
