Following tonight's results in Charleston, the Dynamo are now tied for second place in the Carolina Challenge Cup. Houston defeated Vancouver 2-1 behind second half goals from Will Bruin and Adam Moffat and the Chicago Fire defeated the Charleston Battery 2-1 behind a stoppage-time goal from Alex.
The Dynamo still have an outside chance of winning the preseason tournament, but they will need help from the Whitecaps in Saturday's finales. Here are the updated standings.
CHARLESTON, S.C. – Houston Dynamo midfielder Adam Moffat unleashed one of his patented long-distance bombs to net the late game-winner as the Houston Dynamo came from behind to down the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-1 on Wednesday night at Blackbaud Stadium.
Moffat's strike came just two minutes after Will Bruin equalized for Houston with a cool finish on a 1-v-1 against the Vancouver goalkeeper in the 75th minute.
The Dynamo will play their second match in the Carolina Challenge Cup when they take on the Vancouver Whitecaps Wednesday afternoon a Blackbaud Stadium at 4 p.m. The two clubs have met once this preseason, with the Whitecaps defeating the Dynamo 2-1 on February 2 in Tucson.

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The Houston Dynamo fell to the Chicago Fire, 3-2, on Saturday night in the opening game of the Carolina Challenge Cup at Blackbaud Stadium.
