Kick Childhood Cancer

Scarfs up

The Houston Dynamo and Dash have partnered with Go4theGoal to support their Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer campaign. Their mission is to improve the lives of children battling cancer by providing financial support, developing and implementing unique hospital programs, funding innovative research and granting personal wishes. Through their firsthand experience with pediatric cancer and their medical background, Go4theGoal provides the best practices to patients, their families and the hospitals and staff that care for them.

The Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer initiative started in 2011 in answer to requests from youth soccer teams in New Jersey that wanted to show their commitment to the fight against pediatric cancer. Today, teams across the country representing every sport from youth to professional have Laced Up in Go4theGoal's Gold Laces, including some of your favorite Dynamo and Dash players.

The Gold Laces are sold for $5/pair, of which $4 of each pair plus 100% of donations go back to helping kids with cancer and their families in the area where the funds are raised.

Please join the Houston Dynamo and Dash support this worthy cause by purchasing a pair of Gold Laces at one of the 3 upcoming Dynamo and Dash home games at section 104, by contracting your season ticket service rep or by emailing

You can also help support Kicking Childhood Cancer by purchasing tickets to our Kick Childhood Cancer match on September 24 when the Dynamo take on the Portland Timbers at 7:45 p.m. When purchasing, be sure to add a donation benefiting Go4TheGoal! For each $5 donation, you will receive a pair of Gold Laces to support Childhood Cancer Awareness.

Fans are encouraged to start growing their hair and join us as we try to break the world record for largest amount of heads shaved in an hour prior to the September 24 match. Everyone who shaves their head will receive a meet and greet with Will Bruin and Mauro Manotas after that night's match! All funds raised will benefit Curing Children's Cancer Fund. Register to participate below!

MLS players and referees will wear Kick Childhood Cancer t-shirts designed by renowned designer and illustrator Sophia Chang during on-field pregame activities, while coaches and training staff will sport Kick Childhood Cancer scarves during matches. You can also support Kick Childhood Cancer by purchasing scarves and t-shirts at the Dynamo Team Store. Proceeds benefit the Children's Oncology Group, one of the leading childhood cancer experts in the world.
