
Dynamo Academy

The Dynamo Academy consists of the best youth soccer players in the Houston area aged 15-18. Players train four days per week and play weekend matches in the USSF Development Academy league. The Dynamo Academy has two competitive teams; one that competes at the U-16 level and one that competes at the U-18 level. Successful players can be signed directly to the Dynamo first team.
Dynamo Pre-Academy

In 2011, the Houston Dynamo formed teams at the U-13, U-14, and U-15 levels to compete in US Club Soccer's Texas Pre-Academy League. Teams are made up of select players in the Houston area who train together four days a week and play competitive games on weekends. Successful players will have the opportunity to progress through the Pre-Academy system and directly into the Dynamo Academy.

Following in the footsteps of the Dynamo first team, the Houston Dynamo Academy has been one of the most successful developmental soccer programs since it began play in 2007. In the past five years, the squad has traveled the globe and competed in tournament against the world's best. Each year, the Dynamo Academy competes in the prestigious Dallas Cup tournament. Houston has won the tournament twice, winning the U-19 age group in 2008 and the U-16 age group in 2010.
Dynamo Junior Academy
The Dynamo U-12 Junior Academy is for players aged 8-12. They will receive free training one night per week in a professional training/learning environment that is age specific. The Junior Academy aims to have a positive impact on each player's development on and off the field. Training sessions will be held at the Houston Amateur Sports Park. Successful players will have the opportunity to progress directly into the Dynamo Academy. Learn More
USSF Development Academy
The USSF Development Academy League is a partnership between U.S. Soccer and the top youth clubs around the country to provide the best youth players in the U.S. with an environment designed to produce the next generation of national team players. Teams play competitive games against other developmental clubs in their region on a weekly basis and a play a select group of non-conference games throughout the year. Outstanding Dynamo Academy players are designated as Dynamo homegrown players and remain eligible to be signed directly to the Dynamo first team. Since the Academy was formed in 2007, five products have been signed to first team contracts. Goalkeeper Tyler Deric became the first Academy product to start a first team match when he posted a shutout on Oct. 16, 2010 against the San Jose Earthquakes. Alex Dixon became the first Academy product to score in a first team match when he scored a stoppage-time game-winner to defeat Real Salt Lake on Aug. 20, 2011.Dynamo Academy Travels Abroad
Since its inception, the Dynamo Academy has not shied away from top-flight competition. Through domestic and interntional competitions, the Dynamo have played the top academies in the world, including Chivas de Guadalajara and FC Barcelona. The Dynamo's most notable victory came in 2009 when the club defeated the Real Madrid U-18 squad 3-2. In 2011, the Dynamo Academy traveled to Holland to compete in Eurovoetbal 2011, taking on teams such as PSV Eindhoven, Galatasaray, and Botafogo. Learn more.Hear from the pros

Dynamo South Texas Academy
The Dynamo and McAllen Youth Soccer Association have partnered to develop young talent in the Rio Grande Valley region of South Texas. A maximum pool of 36 players will be selected for each age group, and select players will have the opportunity to be designated as Dynamo homegrown players. Many have trained with the full Dynamo Academy, and the DSTA participates each year in the Dynamo Academy College Combine, showcasing their skills for college recruiters. Learn More.
