For the third time in five seasons, Bobby Boswell was voted the Houston Dynamo Defender of the Year but the media. Boswell helped the Dynamo record 12 shutouts while playing in 33 regular season games, a high for Dynamo field players. The veteran center back helped stabilize a backline that saw the transfer of U.S. men's national team center back Geoff Cameron to Stoke City in the summer. Although Boswell has been a rock for Houston all season, he will be most remembered for this play against D.C. United:
It's been a breakout season for Will Bruin. The second year striker from Indiana University scored 12 goals in the regular season and has added four more in the MLS Cup Playoffs.
Bruin's success continued Tuesday night, when he took home three awards at Dynamo Celebration 2012. Bruin took home the Budweiser Golden Boot after leading the team in goals during the regular season. He won the MLS W.O.R.K.S. Humanitarian of the Year award for his work with the Bald is Beautiful campaign and capped the night with the Houston Dynamo Young Player of the Year award.

There were many viable candidates for the 2012 Houston Dynamo Play of the Year, but one stood out above the rest. Matt Pedersen and Glenn Davis will kick things off with Dynamo All-Access Friday night live from LA. The show will air on SportsTalk 790 at 7-9 p.m. CT. Matt and Glenn will break down Saturday's match as well as interview players and coaches about the match-up.
Matt and Glenn will be back on the airwaves on Saturday with a pregame show at 3 p.m. CT on KPRC 950. Following the match, Matt and Glenn will host a post-game call-in show untl 8 p.m. CT.
If you are unable to make the trip to The Home Depot Center, you can also watch the Dynamo battle the Galaxy on ESPN (English) and TeleFutura (Spanish). The broadcast on each network will start at 3:30 pm CT.
