Favorite fan moment: One of my favorite fan moments was when a little girl approached a group of Dynamo Girls to take a picture. The little girl was dressed in a Dynamo Girl cheerleader uniform and after the picture, she said that she wanted to be a Dynamo Girl next year. It was so precious!

Favorite community appearance: My all-time favorite community appearance was going to a charity event hosted by the Charity Girls. The event was at a roller rink off of Dairy Ashford. The event was 80s themed, so we were able to dress up in 80s Dynamo gear and skate all night with fans. It was so much fun!

Best part about being a Dynamo Girl: I love all of the friendships that I have made throughout the years being on the team. It has been so much fun to relive my rookie year through all of the new girls and experience all of the cool things that we get to experience. I also love watching the fans enjoy their favorite sport and team.

What is your favorite part of the game? Besides watching the Dynamo Girls do what they do best, I love the last couple minutes of a game. Everyone is tense, and one goal can change the entire outcome! Remember 2007 MLS Cup?

Occupation: High School teacher and cheerleading coach

Favorite thing about Houston: Memorial park and the Rodeo

Favorite Dynamo Player: Eddie Robinson

Favorite food: Pizza and french fries

Childhood nickname: Speedo Deedo (summer swim team)

Hidden talent: I play on a dart team every week.

Accomplishment you are proud of: Running four marathons... so far...

What is an accomplishment you still hope to fulfill? I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in education and would love to teach at a university level someday. I am still determined to get on the waiting list to run a marathon in Antarctica.

What is something most people do not know about you? I sponsor a young girl in Guatemala through Compassions International.

What is your playlist like on your iPod or mp3? I have a various mix of music from country to hip-hop. My favorite song right now is “Show Goes On” by Lupe Fiasco.

What is your advice to young dancers? Think and dream big and go for it! If you keep that end goal in mind, everything else will feel like small milestones to get to the top. Confidence in yourself will take you everywhere!
