The Houston Dynamo Youth Programs provide support and tuition to local soccer players through a variety of year-round training options. The progressive system of development provides a challenging curriculum that allows players of all ages and abilities to discover the game under close supervision of our experienced staff. Players are encouraged to aspire toward success and for outstanding individuals, clear routes exist to advance to our renowned Academy and, ultimately, to the first team.
Types of Programs
DYNAMO AND DASH CAMPS
Dynamo/Dash Camps are aimed at all players aged 5-12 looking for a challenging soccer experience or a fun introduction to the game. In age and ability specific groups, led by experienced and qualified Dynamo coaching staff, players will be motivated to achieve through appropriate soccer activities. Dynamo/Dash Camps operate over four-day periods and are split into two options based on age; 5-6 years or 7-12 years camp programs. Spring Break, Summer and Winter camps are offered at the Houston Sports Park, and select locations around Texas and Louisiana.
CENTER OF EXCELLENCE
Center of Excellence programs offer advanced training to elite male and female players aged 8-12 and provide high-level supplementary training and the first step into the Houston Dynamo Academy. The Houston Dynamo operates as seasonal, weekly training sessions a select locations around Houston; Summer and Winter camp programs and Residential Camps at the Houston Sports Park.
ACADEMY ID/HIGH SCHOOL
Academy ID programs are offered as tryouts for male players aged 13-18 seeking an opportunity to showcase their ability and a Dynamo Academy roster position. High School Camps are offered for competitive female players looking to strengthen their game under the guidance of Dash coaching staff and First Team players. These Camps identify prospects for their suitability in a series of Academy style training sessions and performance testing. Academy ID and High School programs are offered as Summer and Winter camp programs and Residential Camps at the Houston Sports Park.
The Houston Dynamo provide development support for clubs, schools or teams utilizing our coaching staff and curriculum. After identifing the specific needs of a soccer program, a professional development plan is executed to support your organization. This support can come as, or a variety of, clinics, training sessions, coach eduation and game day support.
There are four cornerstones of the Houston Dynamo youth programs philosophy. These principles create enjoyable and challenging ways to discover and cultivate potential in young soccer players.

All Houston Dynamo youth programs are designed to incorporate specific aspects that are required to develop young soccer players. These aspects are adapted to suit the age and ability level of each individual player.
Through increasingly demanding activities, identifying and experimenting with the potential movement capabilities of the body
Establish correct technical execution of skills through repetition and ability-based progression
Introducing the concepts of tactical strategy, decision-making and interaction with other players through small-sided competitive games
Emulate the behaviors and exhibit the effort expected of a professional soccer player, on and off the field
Houston Dynamo Youth Programs offers partial scholarships to youth soccer players in need of financial assistance. Financial aid is provided through funds made available by Dynamo Charities. To fairly distribute available funds an in-depth application is required with supporting documentation. Financial Assistance is available to all Houston Dynamo per registration programs, with the exception of the Residential Elite Camps. Click here for more information.
