The Dynamo will open SuperLiga Group A play tonight with a match
Pachuca at 7 p.m. at Robertson Stadium. Pachuca features
U.S. World Cup veterans Jose Francisco Torres and Herculez Gomez.

At City Hall yesterday, the Dynamo and Mayor Annise Parker announced
the schedule
of events for the week leading up to the MLS All-Star Game at
Reliant Stadium on July 28. Thousands of fans attended Manchester United’s training
in Chicago yesterday.

MLS Commissioner Don Garber spoke
MLSsoccer.com yesterday about the recent addition of Thierry Henry by
the New York Red Bulls. Henry announced today that he is retiring
from international soccer and will now focus on his club career with New York.

After raising the World Cup trophy, Spain climbed
to the top slot in FIFA’s rankings. The United States moved up a spot to 13.

With the international transfer window open, the most
notable transaction might be an eight-legged
moving from Germany to Spain.
