The Dynamo will look
to build
on the momentum of a draw at BMO Field, when they take on the Columbus
Crew, Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. Watch head coach Dominic Kinnear and Dynamo players
preview
Saturday night’s match. Tomorrow is also the Dynamo’s Military Appreciation
Night. On Wednesday, Brad Davis visited
a local VA hospital to spend time with some military veterans.

Kinnear, who will assist head coach Bruce Arena with the MLS
All-Stars, spoke
with MLSsoccer.com
about the game and the honor of being selected as an
assistant coach. Manchester United released their official
roster
that will compete against the All-Stars on July 28.

The rosters for the eight teams in SuperLiga were
announced
today. Featured are U.S.
national team veterans Jonathan Bornstein (Chivas USA), Jose Francisco Torres (Pachuca), and Herculez
Gomez (Pachuca).
 Dynamo players spoke
with
HoustonDynamo.com about the rivalry between Houston
and Pachuca.  MLSsoccer.com believes that Group A is the
more attractive of the groups because of the rivalry
between
the Dynamo and Pachuca.

Ghanaian midfielder Anthony Obodai’s trial with the Dynamo
ended on June 19. The Dynamo have brought
him back
for a second look. Is there a contract in Obodai’s future? We
shall see…

One of the complaints among non-soccer fans, is that there
are so few statistics in soccer, which makes it difficult to truly quantify a
players’ worth. Major League Soccer and a London-based statistics company called
Opta hope
to change that
.

Howard Webb will take
the stage
as the head referee for Sunday’s World Cup final. Yes, that is
the same Howard Webb that refereed the SuperLiga final in 2008. It is also the
same Howard Webb who according to his wife cannot even referee his own
children.
