Ibeagha named to U.S. squad for Torneo de las Americas

Houston Dynamo Academy defender
Sebastien Ibeagha, a freshman at Duke University, has been added to the United
States U-20 national team roster for the upcoming Torneo de las Americas in
Kennesaw, Ga., U.S. Soccer announced today.

Ibeagha, a 2010 graduate of Fort Bend Hightower High School
in the Houston area, has been part of the Dynamo Academy
since his family moved to Houston
in 2008. In 2009, he trained with the Dynamo first team, captained the Academy
on its European tour, and was named Dynamo Academy Player of the Year. Last
year, he was named to the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Central Starting
First XI for the 2009-10 season after leading the Dynamo Academy
to the postseason.

In his freshman season at Duke University
this fall, Ibeagha started 15 of 20 games at center back, missing starts only
due to injury, and was named to the Atlantic Coast Conference All-Freshman
team.

In the three-team round-robin tournament,
the United States will face Colombia (Nov. 26) and Mexico (Nov. 28) at the Kennesaw
State Soccer Stadium.

The Houston Dynamo are a

The Houston Dynamo Academy,
presented by Statoil, consists of the best youth players in the Houston area. The Dynamo Academy
has already produced two players, goalkeeper Tyler Deric and midfielder
Francisco Navas Cobo, who have competed in Major League Soccer action with the
Dynamo first team. The Academy U-18 and U-16 train four days per week in a
professional environment and compete in the United States Soccer
Development Academy
league, the most competitive youth league in the country. Successful Academy
graduates can be designated as Dynamo home-grown players and can eventually be
