Midfielder Alex Dixon undergoes surgery

Rookie could miss 2-3 weeks with finger fracture

Houston Dynamo rookie midfielder Alex
underwent surgery today on the third finger of his left hand, the club
announced. The procedure to stabilize the fracture was performed by hand
specialist Dr. Evan Collins of the Methodist Hospital System. Expected recovery
time for the surgery is 2-3 weeks.

Dixon, who scored his first professional goal on August 20
against Real Salt Lake,
suffered the injury during the September 1 MLS Reserve League match against the
Colorado Rapids.
