Boniek Garcia advances to finals of Latino del Año

Dynamo midfielder Boniek Garcia has advanced to the final round of FutbolMLS.com's Latino del Año competition. The Honduran midfielder defeated San Jose Earthquakes defender Victor Bernardez in the previous round, winning 71.35% of the vote.

For the third consecutive round, Garcia will be paired with a fellow Honduran. After knocking off Marvin Chavez and Victor Bernardez, Garcia will go up against Sporting KC midfielder Roger Espinoza, who defeated Galaxy midfielder Marcelo Sarvas in the other semifinal matchup.

Voting for the annual award will close on Sunday at 10:59 p.m. CT. The winner will be announced on Monday.
