Boniek Garcia advances to quarterfinals of Latino del Año

Dynamo midfielder Boniek Garcia has advanced to the quarterfinal round of FutbolMLS.com's Latino del Año competition. The Honduran midfielder defeated Seattle Sounders forward Fredy Montero in the previous round, garnering an astounding 76.62% of the vote.

Now, Garcia is paired with fellow Honduran Marvin Chavez, with the winner advancing to the final four.

Although Chavez holds the edge in the assist category, Garcia has one more goal and played in ten fewer games. Garcia also has one goal and one assist in the 2012 MLS Cup Playoffs.
