Dynamo midfielder Boniek Garcia has advanced to the semifinal round of FutbolMLS.com's Latino del Año competition. The Honduran midfielder defeated San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Marvin Chavez in the previous round, garnering an impressive 79.09% of the vote.

Now, Garcia is paired with fellow Honduran Victor Bernardez Marvin Chavez, with the winner advancing to the face either Sporting KC midfielder Roger Espinoza or LA Galaxy midfielder Marcelo Sarvas.
