The Houston Dynamo will play their first preseason scrimmage today against the Dynamo Academy, presented by Statoil. The match will kick off at 3 p.m. at the Houston Amateur Sports Park. All home preseason scrimmages are free and open to the public.

Today's scrimmage will be the first opportunity for Kinnear to see his club in an 11v11 match. In last year's preseason scrimmage, the Dynamo defeated the Academy 3-0 behind goals from Colin Clark, Alex Dixon and Colin Rolfe. Dynamo Academy goalkeeper Leopoldo Castillo stopped two penalty kicks in the game.

The Dynamo will play two scrimmages in Houston before leaving for a week of training and games in Tucson. Houston will take on Houston Baptist University on Saturday at 11 a.m. at HASP.

The Dynamo Academy U-18s are coming off a 1-0 loss to Dallas Texans on Saturday. The team is currently 6-3-3 and sits in fourth place in the Frontier Division of the Central Conference.
