Dynamo host jersey launch party at House of Blues

Hundreds of fans gathered on Monday to see Dynamo players model new kits

It was another historic day for a franchise that has seen its share of historic moments.

On Monday, the Dynamo unveiled the new home and away jerseys that players will wear for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. The third kit that the Dynamo unveiled in 2012 will remain the same this year.

The news kits were a joint venture by the Dynamo and adidas to highlight features that would hit close to home with Dynamo fans. Those features include:

  • The Texas flag patch sewn on to the front of the jersey
  • The Dynamo’s signature Forever Orange slogan on the upper-left hand side of the kit
  • The back-neck tape design is inspired by the design of the Dynamo’s stadium, BBVA Compass Stadium

Hundres of fans gathered in the Bronze Peacock Room at the House of Blues to see the new kits. The event featured a live broadcast of 1560 AM's Afternoon Delight with John Wessling and Adam Clanton from 3-7 as well as Dynamo All-Access with Glenn Davis from 7-9.

In addition to the jersey launch, the party doubled as a celebration of the Dynamo's new partnership with CSN Houston.

CSN will broadcast 19 games in 2013 on CSN Houston or CSN Houston 2. Monday night also featured the premier episode of Dynamo Weekly, a weekly show on CSN highlighting the latest news in the Dynamo organization. The show will air every Thursday from 6:30-7 p.m. beginning on Thursday, March 7.
