Andrew Driver

OUTLOOK: Versatile midfielder who joins the Dynamo on loan from Scottish club Heart of Midlothian, where he signed with the senior team from the Academy in 2006 and made 168 appearances in seven years with the club.

2013 MLS: Made MLS debut and scored at Dallas FC on 3/17; a left footed shot, nominated for MLS Goal of the Week  ... 12-13 CCL: Made Dynamo debut, entering in the 83rd minute of a 1-0 win over Santos Laguna on 3/5.

2012-13: Appeared in 28 games (17 starts) for Heart of Midlothian (Hearts) ... Scored 2 goals and added 1 assist ... Made two appearances in Europa League.

2011-12: Appeared in 22 games (8 starts) and scored 1 goal ... Started in Hearts' historic 5-1 win in Scottish Cup Final against Edinburgh rivals Hibs on May 19, 2012 ... It was the first time the rivals met in a Scottish Cup Final since 1896 ... Returned from injury and scored goal in 4-0 win over Hungarian club Paks in Europa League qualifying round on Aug. 3, 2011.

2010-11: Made 14 appearances (4 starts) and notched 1 assist in season that was impacted by knee and thigh injuries.

2009-10: Scored 3 goals in 14 appearances (13 starts).

2008-09: Set career-high with 31 starts and matched career-high with 5 goals.

2007-08: Set career-highs with 5 goals and 6 assists in 25 games (23 starts).

2006-07: Appeared in 22 games (19 starts) and scored 3 goals with 2 assists in debut season with Hearts senior team ... Made his home debut and scored an 80th-minute goal in a 4-1 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Premier League on Aug. 26, 2006 ... Scored game-winning goal with free kick in 3-1 win over Celtic in front of 60,000 spectators at Celtic Park on April 29, 2007... Made Scottish FA Cup debut at age 20 in 4-0 win over Stranraer on Jan. 6, 2007. 

INTERNATIONAL: Scotland U16 (1 cap) and England U21 (1 cap) ... Is eligible to play for Scotland national team ... Played for England U-21 team in 1-1 group stage draw against Germany at the 2009 UEFA European Union U-21 Football Championship  ... As a 15-year-old, Driver scored a goal for the Scottish U-16s in a 2-1 Victory Shield defeat over England on Nov. 22, 2002.

PERSONAL: Born in Oldham, England, a suburb of Manchester, Driver and his family moved to East Lothian, Scotland, a suburb of Edinburgh at age 11 ... After playing with the Hutchison Vale youth club, he joined the Hearts youth academy.
