Facing intra-state rival FC Dallas for the first time, the Dynamo pulled out a 4-3 win in one of the most exciting games of the year before more than 21,000 fans. Ricardo Clark opened the Dynamo scoring from distance, World Cup-bound forward Brian Ching followed with a header, and Dwayne De Rosario notched two goals, including the eventual game-winner scored while falling to the ground in the 67th minute.
