Goalkeeper Tally Hall is set to make his MLS debut for the Dynamo on Saturday against D.C. United, but he should be a familiar face to fans after appearing in seven competitive games and the Dynamo Charities Cup in 2009. Although he was drafted by the Los Angeles Galaxy in in 2007, Hall joined the Dynamo last January on a free transfer from Danish club Esbjerg, where he played in 2007 and 2008. A native of SeaTac, Washington, he endured two bittersweet moments last season: scoring a goal in a disappointing 3-2 loss to Isidro Metapan that eliminated the Dynamo from Champions League play; and an amazing 10-save performance against the Seattle Sounders in a 2-1 overtime U.S. Open Cup semifinal loss last July, played just minutes away from his hometown and with family and friends watching.
