Day five of the Houston Dynamo Residential Elite Camp presented by Statoil began with the announcement of the all-star roster for the younger campers 7v7 all-star game. Paraguay, consisting of campers Renado Torquato, Tristan Gonzalez, and Sterling Noreiga emerged as the futsal world cup champions for the week, knocking off South Korean.

A street soccer tournament was held after the futsal tournament as parents emerged to watch the final games of the camp. The 7v7 all-star game brought a younger all-star champion to the camp and the parents and players made their way to the auditorium at Our Lady of the Lake University for the closing ceremonies.

Houston Dynamo Youth Development director, James Clarkson, conducted the ceremony, issuing out awards for categories such as goal of the week, save of the week, futsal champions and street soccer champions. The ceremony was concluded with Garrett Welch receiving the camp MVP award.

After the ceremonies, the campers made their way back to the dorms with their parents to check out and head home. The residential camp surely set the level for the camps in the future. The coaching staff agreed that there was a tremendous level of play and development throughout the week. The Dynamo staff is looking forward to the rest of the camps throughout the summer as well as future residential camps.

The Houston Dynamo would like to thank Our Lady of the Lake University and the entire staff for their tremendous hospitality and service throughout the week. Without their help this camp would not have been possible.
