The Dynamo will look to build on the momentum of a draw at BMO Field, when they take on the Columbus Crew, Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. Watch head coach Dominic Kinnear and Dynamo players preview Saturday night’s match. Tomorrow is also the Dynamo’s Military Appreciation Night. On Wednesday, Brad Davis visited a local VA hospital to spend time with some military veterans.


Kinnear, who will assist head coach Bruce Arena with the MLS All-Stars, spoke with MLSsoccer.com about the game and the honor of being selected as an assistant coach. Manchester United released their official roster that will compete against the All-Stars on July 28.


The rosters for the eight teams in SuperLiga were announced today. Featured are U.S. national team veterans Jonathan Bornstein (Chivas USA), Jose Francisco Torres (Pachuca), and Herculez Gomez (Pachuca).  Dynamo players spoke with HoustonDynamo.com about the rivalry between Houston and Pachuca.  MLSsoccer.com believes that Group A is the more attractive of the groups because of the rivalry between the Dynamo and Pachuca.


Ghanaian midfielder Anthony Obodai’s trial with the Dynamo ended on June 19. The Dynamo have brought him back for a second look. Is there a contract in Obodai’s future? We shall see…


One of the complaints among non-soccer fans, is that there are so few statistics in soccer, which makes it difficult to truly quantify a players’ worth. Major League Soccer and a London-based statistics company called Opta hope to change that.


Howard Webb will take the stage as the head referee for Sunday’s World Cup final. Yes, that is the same Howard Webb that refereed the SuperLiga final in 2008. It is also the same Howard Webb who according to his wife cannot even referee his own children.
