Houston Dynamo fans can get a bit closer to their team next week by joining the players’ significant others and families for dinner on Tuesday, September 14, with proceeds benefitting charity. The event, Dinner with the Dynamo, will be held by the Dynamo Sidekicks, the organization of wives, girlfriends, and family members of Dynamo players, and will offer fans the chance to eat dinner with Dynamo players and receive a limited edition Dynamo cookbook. Proceeds from the event will benefit Garth Brooks’ Teammates for Kids Foundation.

Tickets, which are $40 for season ticket holders and $50 for the general public, are available online at http://www.HoustonDynamo.com/sidekicks. The event will be catered by Macaroni Grill and will run from 7-9 p.m. at the Aztec Events & Tents VIP Club in the northwest corner of Robertson Stadium.

“We are excited to be partnering with the Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids Foundation. They ensure 100 percent of the money raised goes directly to kids,” said Haley Barrett, wife of Dynamo assistant coach Wade Barrett. “I’m also excited to try out some of the recipes that the other families put in and seeing the cookbook all put together. It will be a nice reminder of the season and all the players and families that made it special.”

The Dynamo Sidekicks are dedicated to supporting charitable organizations of all kinds. Through their special relationship to the Houston Dynamo players, they are able to provide unique opportunities for fans of all ages.

The cookbook includes recipes that keep the players fueled and ready for games. All recipes have been provided by Dynamo players, their significant others, and their family members, giving Dynamo fans the opportunity to learn what their favorite players like to cook away from the field.

Teammates for Kids was established in January 1999 as a non-profit corporation. Its goal is to contribute financial resources to select non-profit organizations that effectively serve and benefit children with an emphasis on health, education, and inner-city services.

Dynamo players who will definitely be in attendance include: Bobby Boswell, Brian Ching, Ryan Cochrane, Danny Cruz, Brad Davis, Andrew Hainault, Tally Hall, Richard Mulrooney, Brian Mullan, Pat Onstad, Eddie Robinson, and Cam Weaver.

The Dynamo will next be in action on Saturday, September 18, at Robertson Stadium, one of three final Dynamo home games in the regular season. The match will kick off at 7:30 p.m., and fans can enjoy a postgame fireworks show. Exclusive ticket deals are available at http://www.HoustonDynamo.com/tickets.
