The Houston Dynamo announced today the creation of a Fan Advisory Board, open to all season ticket holders aged 21 and older. The 10-member board will meet quarterly in 2011 with members of the Dynamo front office to discuss key issues surrounding the Dynamo organization.
The application process will open on Monday, November 22, and can be accessed by visiting HoustonDynamo.com/fanadvisoryboard. Applications will be accepted until December 15, at which point 20 semifinalists will be selected for in-person interviews. The 10 members who will serve on the board will be chosen by February 1, with the first meeting to be held on March 15.
“We are pleased to announce the creation of our inaugural fan advisory board,” Dynamo president Chris Canetti said. “As an organization we put a strong emphasis on loyalty, and now we are offering our loyal fans the opportunity to have their input heard, with regard to important issues surrounding the Dynamo organization.”
The selected board members will have shown a strong desire to help the Dynamo grow their brand and fan base. They will be active members in the Houston community and be willing to represent the Dynamo at community functions as needed.
