Almost 3,000 youth players took part in the 2010 Development Academy Showcase in Phoenix over the past five days. The 78 participating sides featured youth squads from a number of MLS teams from around the nation.

A handful of those MLS Academy teams fared particularly well in the three games each contested in Arizona.

Two MLS Academy sides managed to go unbeaten at the U-18 level, as FC Dallas (3-0-0) and Real Salt Lake-AZ (2-0-1) posted unblemished records. At the same level, eight other teams won two of three – New England, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Jose, Columbus, Houston, Chivas USA and New York.

On the U-16 side of the tournament, D.C. United and the LA Galaxy were the only two MLS squads to win all three games. Seattle and Chivas USA each managed to win two of their three matches.
