It's been a busy week for the Houston Dynamo. After playing the New York Red Bulls to a 2-2 draw on Saturday, the Dynamo traveled to California for a mid-week matchup against the LA Galaxy. A controversial call cost the Dynamo a road point, as Chris Birchall's shot deflected off the chest of Dynamo midfielder Lovel Palmer inside the Dynamo's penalty box. The referee ruled that the ball hit Palmer's arm and Landon Donovan converted the penalty kick, which proved enough for the Galaxy.

The loss to the Galaxy extended Houston's winless streak in May. Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena's game plan was to prevent Brad Davis from controlling the Dynamo offense and through a series of double-teams and tight defending, the plan worked.

Houston midfielder Brad Davis set a new club record with his 137th career MLS regular season appearance for the Dynamo, passing former Houston players Brian Mullan and Pat Onstad.

Houston will have one more crack at grabbing three points this month when it welcomes in-state rival FC Dallas to town Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

With the Gold Cup coming up, and the Dynamo losing center backs Andre Hainault and Jermaine Taylor to their respective countries, one solution to fill the void at center back could be Geoff Cameron.

The Houston Dynamo are selling season tickets for the 2012 supporters section. Purchase before June 1 and take advantage of the huge savings.
