As the Houston Dynamo move into a new era, one with a soccer-specific stadium to call their own, the Dynamo front office is offering fans the chance to be a part of the Dynamo supporters section in 2012. For the past few games, the Dynamo supporters groups have banded together as one, creating a more animated game-day atmosphere at Robertson Stadium and showing that Dynamo supporters groups rival the best in Major League Soccer.

"We are proud of what our fans have accomplished over the past few games," said Dynamo Senior Vice President Rocky Harris. "They have come together in a big way and shown that we can match what is being done in the Pacific Northwest and other areas around MLS."

The Dynamo are currently offering all fans an opportunity to be a part of this movement and purchase the first season tickets available in the new stadium. The new Dynamo supporters section will be standing room only, and if all goes according to plan, will be featured in the lower bowl of the new stadium.

To participate, fans do not need to be a member of the Dynamo's official supporter groups. The Dynamo have created an unaffiliated supporter section where anyone can purchase season tickets to stand and chant with Brickwall, El Batallon, La Bateria, and Texian Army.

"Although we are happy with the way our groups have come together, we all know there is still room for growth," Harris said. "We are looking for 300 fans who are willing to create that constant atmosphere that you've seen in our previous few games. We already have deposits from 50 unaffiliated fans and nearly 80 from our official supporter groups. I want to be clear that fans don't have to be a member of one of our current supporter groups to place the $50 deposit and receive this phenomenal offer."

One ticket in the new supporters section costs $250 for the season, which represents more than $400 of savings off of what regularly-priced lower bowl season tickets will cost in the new stadium. Fans can reserve their seat in the section by the June 1 deadline with only a $50 deposit. After June 1, there will not be any supporters' section seats for purchase, and all seats in the stadium will be full price. In addition, every person who purchases a supporters section ticket in the next week will be presented with a limited edition supporters scarf, to be awarded by Dynamo president Chris Canetti prior to the June 11 match against Chivas USA.

"Commissioner [Don] Garber is passionate about supporters groups in this country, and so are we," Harris said. "We feel confident that our fan base will pull through and help us reach our goal so we can tailor the new stadium to the needs of our most vocal fans."
