The men's college soccer season provides a chance to keep up with the 12 protected players from the Dynamo Academy competing in the college ranks. Two players were signed to professional contracts last January after completing their college season, so some of these names could make an impact on the Dynamo's future.

Seniors
Daniel Roberts, MF/FW, UNC-Wilmington (Fort Bend Clements) Dynamo bio | UNCW bio
After missing several games, Roberts returned to the lineup to play 90 minutes and fire two shots in a 2-1 loss at Hofstra on Sept. 24. The Seahawks play at Coastal Carolina on Wednesday and host Drexel on Saturday.
Clayton Holz, MF, Stanford (St. John's) Dynamo bio | Stanford bio
Has made two appearances as a substitute so far, while Stanford has gone 2-0-1 in its last three matches. The Cardinal open Pac-12 play this weekend with road games at San Diego State on Friday and UCLA on Sunday.
Matt Kirby, MF, Denver (Beaumont Msgr. Kelly) Dynamo bio | DU bio
Has appeared in each of the last four games and notched a goal and an assist in Denver's two wins. Kirby set up a goal with a through ball in a 3-0 win vs. Buffalo on Sept. 16 and scored on a rebound in a 3-1 win at Cal Poly on Sept. 25. The Pioneers open MPSF play on Saturday at home against Air Force.
Juniors
Matt Boullt, DF, Tulsa (Fort Bend Clements) Dynamo bio | Tulsa bio
Continues to play every minute for the Golden Hurricane in a week that saw them go 1-2, losing in overtime to Washington and winning in the last minute against Dartmouth. Tulsa opens Conference USA play on Friday at defending champion South Carolina.
Sophomores
Sebastien Ibeagha, DF/MF, Duke (Fort Bend Hightower) Dynamo bio | Duke bio
Continues to start at center back and has helped Duke to a torrid stretch, winning three straight games by three goals each (5-2, 4-1, 4-1). The Blue Devils play at North Carolina on Friday night in a match televised nationally on FOX Soccer.
C.J. Odenigwe, DF, North Carolina (Fort Bend Travis) Dynamo bio | UNC bio
Odenigwe is likely to miss the entire season after suffering a preseason injury.
Johnny Torres, MF, Wake Forest (Humble Atascocita) Dynamo bio | Wake bio
Has appeared as a substitute in final 10 miutes of wins vs. Cleveland State on Sept. 14 and WInthrop on Sept. 25. Wake Forest will host Davidson on Wednesday and conference rival Virginia Tech on Saturday.
Pat Wall, GK, Notre Dame (Strake Jesuit) Dynamo bio | ND bio
Has not played while serving as one of the backups to starter Will Walsh; 14th-ranked Notre Dame is 5-1-2 on the year and just knocked off last year's national runner-up, Louisville, in the opener of Big East play.
Freshmen

Continues to play virtually every minute for UCF, which remains in the country's top 10 despite suffering its first loss of the season to Florida Gulf Coast on Sept. 24. The Knights open Conference USA play at home against Kentucky on Wednesday and play at SMU on Saturday.

Hernandez continues to start every game for URI, struggling with a 3-6 record. The Rams will not return to intercollegiate action until they host Saint Louis on Oct. 7 and Charlotte on Oct. 9.

Has started last three games for Tulsa and has appeared in all eight contests. Played the full 90 minutes in 3-2 win vs. Dartmouth on Sept. 18.
Miguel Zapata, MF, Tulsa (Katy Mayde Creek) Dynamo bio | Tulsa bio
Started and earned an assist in 3-2 win vs. Dartmouth on Sept. 18, marking the first time three Dynamo Academy players have started for the same team in a collegiate game.
Area College Teams
Houston Baptist University
HBU has struggled to an 0-8-1 mark, but the Huskies will begin Atlantic Soccer Conference play on Saturday, hosting Adelphi Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Sorrels Field.
Other Connections
Goalkeepers coach Tim Hanley's son, Riley Hanley, has appeared in all seven games as a substitute midfielder for St. Mary's, which is 1-3-3 on the season. The Gaels open West Coast Conference play this weekend, playing at San Diego on Friday and at Loyola Marymount on Sunday.
