Dynamo, Liberman Broadcasting to continue broadcast partnership in 2012

The Houston Dynamo and Spanish-language radio partner Liberman Broadcasting have agreed to continue their broadcast partnership for the 2012 season, it was announced today.

Liberman will air all Dynamo regular season games on KEYH 850 AM La Ranchera, and will also feature “La Hora del Dynamo” on Mondays from 7-8 p.m.

“We are proud to be continuing our long-standing relationship with Liberman Broadcasting,” said Dynamo president Chris Canetti. “Our Spanish-speaking fans have come to rely on 850 AM as their home for Dynamo Soccer. It’s an exciting time for the Dynamo, and we are happy to have a great partner that can help deliver our games and news to our fans.”

Daniel Mejía enters his fourth season as play-by-play commentator for Dynamo Spanish radio broadcasts and his sixth overall season on Dynamo broadcasts. La Ranchera game broadcasts will include a 30-minute pregame show.

“Houston’s growing Hispanic population has made this a great market for Major League Soccer, and Liberman Broadcasting is proud to be a part of this growth,” said Liberman Houston General Sales Manager Wynette Ortiz. “La Ranchera has been a partner of the Houston Dynamo since day one, and we are extremely excited to continue this agreement as the Dynamo move into BBVA Compass Stadium. This season, and for the seventh year in a row, 850 AM La Ranchera will have every game, kick and goal scored by our team.”

The Dynamo will open the 2012 season on Sunday, March 11 against Chivas USA in Carson, Calif. and open BBVA Compass Stadium on Saturday, May 12 against D.C. United. While single game tickets to Dynamo home games are not yet available, fans can purchase tickets to all games via Dynamo full and partial season ticket plans. Ticket packages can be purchased by calling (713) 276-GOAL or by visiting HoustonDynamo.com.
