The Houston Dynamo Academy, presented by Statoil, will conclude the 2011-12 season this week with the USSF Development Academy Showcase to be played in Frisco, Texas. Although neither team has advanced to the playoffs, each team will have the opportunity to end the season on a high note, with three games over the course of the week.

"It's disappointing  that we didn't make the playoffs, but this is a great opportunity to give us some momentum heading into the summer," Dynamo Director of Youth Development James Clarkson said. "It's always great to play teams outside of the Texas area and this is another great opportunity for our boys to test themselves against the best in the country."

The Dynamo U-18s will kick off the showcase with a match against the San Jose Earthquakes U-18s on Monday at 4 p.m. The Dynamo U-16s will play on Tuesday at 9 a.m. against Vardar SC Freiburg (Michigan). The schedule for the rest of the week will be announced later today. We'll have full recaps and box scores from each match on HoustonDynamo.com.
