Academy College Report: August 20

HOU_Matamoros_Tulsa

The NCAA men's soccer season kicked off last weekend with a flurry on non-conference and exhibitions matches. Dynamo Academy players featured prominantly for their respective teams, particularly at the University of Tulsa where four Dynamo Academy players played in pre-season friendlies. 


Matt Boullt (Sr. - Tulsa) - The senior defender started and played 45 minutes in 2-1 loss to Missouri St. on August 14. He followed that up with a 71-minute performance in a 1-0 win over Denver on August 18. Against Denver, Boullt tallied  one shot on target.


Abe Matamoros (So. - Tulsa) - Matamoros (pictured above) started and played 45 minutes in 2-1 loss to Missouri St. on August 14. He In a 1-0 win over Denver, Matamoros started and played the full 90 minutes.


Miguel Zapata (So. - Tulsa) - Zapata was the lone Academy player to get on the scoresheet last week, recorded an assist in 45 minutes of action in a 2-1 loss to Missouri St. on August 14. In the match against Denver, Zapata came on as a substitute and played 23 minutes recording one shot.


Bradley Bourgeois (Fr. - Tulsa) - Bourgeois started and played 45 minutes in 2-1 loss to Missouri St. on August 14. he followed that up with a 90-minute performance in a 1-0 win over Denver. 


Leo Ayala (So. - Central Florida) - Ayala started and played 61 minutes in a 2-1 loss to College of Charleston on August 14. In a 6-1 win over Mercer College on August 19, Ayala came on as a sub and tallied one shot attempt in the win.


Alan Hernandez (So. - Rhode Island) - Hernandez came on as a half-time sub and played 45 minutes (plus 15-minute OT period) in a 6-1 loss to Quinnipiac on August 15.


Sebastien Ibeagha (Jr. - Duke) - The junior defender started and played 90 minutes in a scoreless draw against Ohio State University on August 17.


Isaiah Noreiga (Fr. - Duquesne) - Noreiga came off the bench and played 62 minutes in a 2-1 loss to Ohio State University on August 13. He recorded one shot in the match.


Pat Wall (Jr. - Notre Dame) - Wall recorded one save and allowed zero goals in 45 minutes of action against Northern Illinois on August 12. He then played the second half and allowed one goal in a 1-1 draw against the Chivas de Guadalajara U-23s on August 16.
