The sixth episode of Dynamo 360 airs at 5 p.m. Saturday on KPRC Local 2. Dynamo 360 is a studio show dedicated entirely to the Houston Dynamo, with interviews, features and game highlights.
Along with Dynamo All-Access on SportsTalk 790, Dynamo 360 is one of the best ways to follow the Dynamo. Hosted by KPRC Local 2 Sports Director Randy McIlvoy, Saturday’s episode includes studio interviews with Dynamo forward Calen Carr, head coach Dominic Kinnear and Dynamo broadcaster Glenn Davis.
McIlvoy asks Kinnear about the Houston’s great run of form as well as the challenges of balancing a push to the MLS playoffs with the opening of CONCACAF Champions League, as the Dynamo navigate a stretch of six games in 19 days. The interview includes the always-amusing ask-Kinnear feature, with a question for the head man from a fan in the stands.
Davis and McIlvoy discuss the U.S. men’s national team’s historic win in Mexico as well as the Dynamo’s summer surge in the Eastern Conference standings.
Dynamo 360 also features a segment with BBVA Compass Stadium turf manager Rodney Griffin, who details how his grounds keeping team prepares the pitch during a busy summer schedule and how much rain the new field can handle. (Hint: It’s a lot of rain.)
Another segment features Local 2’s Kyle Montgomery, reporting from Orange Avenue before a home game.
The program includes highlights from recent games and is a must-see for Dynamo fans and a perfect warm-up before the Dynamo take on Toronto FC at 7:30 p.m. Watch Dynamo 360 at 5 p.m. and then head to BBVA Compass Stadium as the Dynamo try to extend their home unbeaten streak to 21 games.
