For the second consecutive year, the MLS Cup will be decided at The Home Depot Center between the LA Galaxy and the Houston Dynamo.
Although in 2011, the site of MLS Cup was determined before the season began, this year's Cup is hosted by the finalist with the most regular season points. The Galaxy finished with 54 points in the Western Conference, whereas the Dynamo finished with 53.
This will be the third time the two clubs have met in the MLS Cup playoffs. Each of the previous matches were at The Home Depot Center: a 2-0 overtime loss in the 2009 Western Conference final and a 1-0 loss in last year's MLS Cup final.
The Dynamo and Galaxy met once in 2012, with Houston winning the match 2-1 at BBVA Compass Stadium on May 26.
