For the third time in five seasons, Bobby Boswell was voted the Houston Dynamo Defender of the Year but the media. Boswell helped the Dynamo record 12 shutouts while playing in 33 regular season games, a high for Dynamo field players. The veteran center back helped stabilize a backline that saw the transfer of U.S. men's national team center back Geoff Cameron to Stoke City in the summer.
