Dynamo to open 2013 MLS season against D.C. United on March 2 at BBVA Compass Stadium

The Houston Dynamo will open the 2013 Major League Soccer season on Saturday, March 2, against D.C. United at BBVA Compass Stadium. Kickoff time and broadcast details for the match will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Dynamo are 1-1-2 all-time when opening the MLS season at home and are 3-1-3 all-time in home openers. Houston played United in their 2012 home opener, winning 1-0 in front of a sold-out crowd in the inaugural match at BBVA Compass Stadium.

The Dynamo are coming off their second consecutive trip to the MLS Cup Final and their fourth overall and are currently riding a 30-game home unbeaten streak in all competitions. Houston holds a 9-4-2 advantage all-time over D.C. in the regular season and defeated United 4-2 on aggregate in last year’s Eastern Conference Championship series.

2013 single-game tickets are not yet on sale, but tickets for all matches can be purchased through full or partial season ticket packages. Full season ticket packages are available for as low as $400, with partial season ticket packages starting at $115. In addition, the Dynamo are offering a new Family Season Ticket Package for the 2013 season. For every full price adult season ticket purchased for $400, you can purchase an additional season ticket for a child 10 years or younger for just $200, located in the Texas Children’s Health Plan Family Section.
