Many of the questions being asked to Houston Dynamo players and coaches last week surrounded the team's inconsistent performances away from BBVA Compass Stadium. Excluding last year's MLS Cup playoffs, the Dynamo's last road win came at Toronto on July 28, 2012. And while the team did not answer all of the questions on Saturday with the 1-1 draw, the Dynamo will look to build off the performance heading into Sunday's match vs. Colorado (4 pm, BUY TICKETS).
"It wasn’t a great game for us but one thing we always try to do is outwork the other team and put the effort in as sometimes the ball bounces your way and at the end of today’s game, the ball bounced our way and we equalized," said goalkeeper Tally Hall who recorded three saves in the match. "We’re buzzing right now because the cards were stacked against us a little and we showed great character to come back and tie the game."
The cards Hall referred to were mostly red and yellow as the Dynamo picked up three yellow cards in the match and Jermaine Taylor was issued a red card that left Houston with only 10 men for the final 30 minutes of the match. Despite the cold temperatues and Taylor's red card, the Dynamo showed their resilience on Saturday, and with all of the momentum in Toronto's favor, Dominic Kinnear's squad continued to push for the equalizer and found it with only seconds to go in the match.
"We were unlucky to go down a man, but the team really showed our character," goal scorer Warren Creavalle told reporters on Saturday. "It is a big away draw where instead of them getting three points we were able to get a point out of it and keep pushing up the standings."

Now, the Dynamo will turn their attention to Sunday's match when they welcome the Colorado Rapids to BBVA Compass Stadium. Houston currently has not lost at home in 35 consecutive games in all competitions and has a chance to break Real Salt Lake's record for consecutive regular season home games unbeaten. RSL's current record stands at 29 regular season home games unbeaten, a mark the Dynamo tied on April 14 against Chicago.
"We are a confident group no matter what; we don’t get too high or too low," head coach Dominic Kinnear said after the match. "It wasn’t the best performance today but it was a great result. We’ll take this point and be happy with it and move on to the next game."
