Alex Dixon's month-long loan with the Tampa Bay Rowdies ended emphatically as the Dynamo homegrown midfielder scored the game-winning goal in last weekend's 2-1 win over the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers at Lockhart Stadium.

With his team leading 1-0 win, Dixon made a run toward the near post and flicked a Georgi Hristov cross past Strikers goalkeeper Matt Glaeser (watch goal at 3:12 mark).

"It is tremendous for him to pick up this goal," Rowdies head coach Ricky Hill said after the match. "To come into the match in the second half and make the impact he made on the pitch is great for him and for all of the players. His goal gave the entire squad the cushion they needed to get this great victory."

Dixon completed his loan with 72 minutes played over the course of three substitute appearances. He flew to Houston Thursday night and resumed training with the first team on Friday.

Dynamo midfielder Brian Ownby, who is currently on loan with the Richmond Kickers, had last weekend off as the Kickers had a bye. Richmond will head to Legion Stadium tonight to take on the Wilmington Hammerheads at 6:30 p.m. CT.
