Houston Dynamo Youth Programs conclude 2013 summer camps

The Houston Dynamo Youth Programs concluded their summer camps this past week with a great indoor soccer camp for boys and girls from five to twelve years old at Southwest Indoor Soccer Center in Stafford, Texas.

“One of the best parts of the program this week was the addition of players from all over the world. We had players registered from Guatemala, Mexico, Switzerland, and as far away as Australia,” said Senior Staff Coach Leigh Cullip. In addition to the multi-national feel of the camp, an array of new and repeat campers attended the week with great enthusiasm to learn and play soccer with new friends and new coaches.

The Houston Dynamo Youth Programs strive to facilitate a player oriented environment that engages every player’s imagination and passion for soccer while simultaneously working to challenge each player to improve their technical, tactical, and physical abilities every day. The players in this week’s camp came to learn and did so by following the unique and outstanding Dynamo Programs Curriculum, which included shooting, passing, dribbling and receiving training sessions that were highlighted by concrete coaching delivered by the Houston Dynamo Youth Programs staff.

With the summer camp program concluded until 2014, the next program from the Houston Dynamo Youth Programs will be the Center of Excellence. The CoE is a supplemental training program that operates as two hour, weekly training sessions at satellite locations around Houston for competitive-level boys and girls from seven to thirteen years old. The programs feature the competitive Center of Excellence curriculum, which focuses on individual technique and game awareness. These popular training sessions feature 16 hours of training, a full Dynamo training uniform, a companion ticket to a Dynamo home match and an online player evaluation.
