The Houston Dash unveiled their uniforms for the 2014 season Friday evening at BBVA Compass Stadium. The organization also announced a five-year agreement with BBVA Compass to become the team’s first official jersey partner.
The primary uniform combination for the Dash will be an orange jersey with white shorts, while the alternate uniform will be a light blue shirt with white shorts. The Dash will wear a white top with orange and light blue on the sleeves with orange shorts for daily training sessions.
BBVA Compass’ logo on the team's jerseys underscores the bank's commitment to bringing the global sport of soccer to the city and beyond. It currently sponsors Major League Soccer's Houston Dynamo, which plays at BBVA Compass Stadium in the city’s East End.
“The Dash athletes are exceptional role models for our city, and it is a great honor to see our logo on their jerseys,” BBVA Compass Houston City President Mark Montgomery said of the bank’s status as the team’s Official Jersey Partner.
Both organizations will work together on several community initiatives, including renovating a house and hosting a youth soccer clinic in the East End, which will help introduce Dash players to their adopted city. The efforts will further the bank’s partnership with the Dynamo and Dynamo Charities for their Building a Better Houston campaign, which was started in 2012 to revitalize the neighborhood around BBVA Compass Stadium.
“BBVA Compass has always been a tremendous sponsor of the Houston Dynamo,” said Dash Managing Director Brian Ching, the Dynamo’s all-time leading scorer who retired earlier this year. “We’ve formed a great partnership over the years, so we’re excited to make the Houston Dash a part of it.
