SCOUTING THE SPIRIT
Washington recovered from a 2-0 loss to the Dash on opening night to win their next two matches by a combined score of 6-2, and have remained in the upper half of the league standings since. The Spirit have been led by Crystal Dunn, who is tied atop the NWSL scoring chart with 6 goals and has also tallied two assists. Christine Nairn has added four goals and one assist. Spirit goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris and defender Ali Krieger are still with the United States at the Women’s World Cup.

HOUSTON'S UNBEATEN RUN
The Dash have now gone five games without a loss, the longest stretch in the franchise’s brief history. The team is 2-0-3 during that period, with their last loss coming on May 2 against FC Kansas City. Houston went three games unbeaten on two separate occasions in 2014; those six matches accounted for 75 percent of the club’s non-loss results in its inaugural season.
