Davis climbs MLS games list, Barnes snaps appearance streak: Dynamo milestones from Saturday's draw with Colorado Rapids

The Dynamo played to a scoreless draw with the Colorado Rapids on Saturday at BBVA Compass Stadium. Below are some milestones and notes from the game:


  • It was Brad Davis’ 342nd career MLS regular season game to tie Joe Cannon (342) for seventh on the MLS all-time games list. With his next appearance, Davis will equal former teammate Dwayne De Rosario (343) for sixth on the league list.
  • Davis also made his 300th career MLS regular-season start to pass Jay Heaps for 10th on the MLS all-time starts list. With his next start, Davis could equal current Philadelphia Union midfielder Brian Carroll (301) for ninth on the league chart.
  • Giles Barnes missed the game due to international duty with the Jamaica national team. The absence snapped Barnes’ 48-game start streak in all competitions (45 consecutive regular-season starts).
  • It was Barnes’ first regular-season absence since May 12, 2013 vs. Sporting Kansas City and ended Barnes’ streak of 60 consecutive regular-season appearances.
  • Will Bruin made his 123rd career start in all competitions to pass Eddie Robinson for 11th on the club list.
  • It was also Bruin’s 140th career appearance in all competitions to tie Wade Barrett for 10th on the club list.
  • Rookie midfielder Rob Lovejoy made his first MLS start.
  • Rookie midfielder Zach Steinberger entered in the second half for his first MLS appearance.
  • Midfielder Alex Lopez entered in the second half for his 2015 debut.
  • It was goalkeeper Tyler Deric’s second shutout in four games this season.
